A self care day for you

In this busy world that we live in from time to time we need to give our minds and bodies some time to rest and recharge away from all other distractions. That's why I have created a day just for you.  A day to de-stress, recharge and reflect. Giving yourself the opportunity to truly flourish in life.

This is an opportunity for you to experience a whole day of mindfulness, Meditation and self awareness activities. You will experience a variety of different formal and informal practices.In addition, you will learn practices that you will be able to take away with you and use in your everyday life after the session.

Make sure to ...

  • wear comftable clothing to move in.

  • Bring a yoga Mat (if you have one), blanket, snacks , lunch and water for the day. 


The  day for yourself will be along the following lines as a guidine:

  • Welcoming the group

  • Discussing what the day is about ( 6 hours of non-doing and instead reconnecting with yourself )

  • Invitation to sit ( beginning meditation )

  • Mindful Movement , Body scan and relaxation.

  • Formal meditation /  The mountain meditation​​ / The Lake Meditation

  • Informal Everyday Mindfulness Techniques, Poems and Stories Shared - Discussions


  • Lunch * (please bring your own lunch)

  • Formal Sitting Meditation

  • Mindful Quiet walking ( outdoors if possible )​​​

  • Vision Boards, self compassion activities & Discussions on self care & wellbeing. 

  • Mindful Movement 

  • Loving-kindness meditation

  • Rest and relaxation

  • Goodbyes

What is Mindfulness? 

Mindfulness has lots of different definitions. The way I like to define mindfulness, within my practice, as a way of developing a way that you can relate to your thoughts in a more helpful way, allowing you to become more aware, compassionate and kind with yourself. As a result, you will become less reactive and more responsive in a positive manner. People often look at Mindfulness the same as training a muscle, the idea that we can train our mind like a muscle. The mind never stops we can't turn it off but we can quiet the mind. 
We can learn to accept things for how they are, to not get attached to them, a thought is a thought. If we can become aware and awakened to what is going on in the mind
I believe we can then work on improving everything else in our lives. 
Practising mindfulness techniques has so many effects on the mind, body and heart. Learning mindfulness and meditation techniques help to decrease cortisol, helps to boost the immune system, improves medical conditions and psychological conditions. Practising mindfulness helps to improve attention, concentration, compassion, empathy, non-judgement, reflection and stillness. 
Mindfulness, meditation and movement is an ever-growing practice. We continue to learn more and more about ourselves on the journey. The tools and techniques taught within this approach allow you to use these tools and techniques for life.
